KP CHEER
Strength to hold every position for a full eight-count, power for higher jumps, and tumbling foundations.
A great jump brings several details together: the preparation, lift, body position and controlled landing. Explore cheer jump content focused on timing, arm placement, pointed toes and the conditioning that supports your practice. From toe touches to pikes and hurdlers, choose one detail to discuss with your coach and give it your attention. Try a progress journal: What am I working on? What feedback did my coach give me? What felt different today? Small observations can make your practice more purposeful.
High V. Low V. T. Touchdown. Familiar motions deserve just as much attention as a new skill. Start slowly and check your posture, arm placement and straight wrists. Keep your shoulders relaxed and practice both sides. A mirror or a short recording can help you see what to discuss with your coach. Once the placement is consistent, practice the sequence to counts and then music. Make it a challenge to hit each position clearly and arrive on the correct count.
